At The Ethan Falkowitz Foundation, our mission is twofold.
First, our mission is to introduce kids to the world of tennis, empowering them with opportunities to excel, boosting their confidence through the sport, and instilling the importance of preparation and dedicated practice in their journey to success.
Second, our mission is to nurture empathy, kindness, and genuine friendships, while spreading happiness to others and upholding the highest standards of integrity, creating a better world through our actions.
Ethan Hayden Falkowitz was born on March 5, 2009 in New York City. The below was only supposed to be a tiny portion of the accolades that Ethan would have achieved on his own. Whatever we add during our lifetimes will, in no way, come close to how special Ethan has been to this world in his short 14 years. Not only did Ethan make the starting lineup of the Roslyn High School Varsity Tennis Team as an eighth grader, he was also on his way to consideration for valedictorian in four years. Those are the words of his teachers and coaches. At an early age, Ethan understood the concept of earning results through hard work and realized that reaching one’s potential required focus and determination and that it would not be given to you just because you want it.

Turn pain into purpose, that’s what they say
But the purpose doesn’t take the pain away
Why couldn’t you come home that day?
Stuck in a nightmare, set on replay
In a room full of friends, feeling all alone
An exceptional boy, they all know
A life full of living, you would have shown
Successes achieved all on your own
Why did the universe take away someone so good?
In your short years, so much understood
Making others feel special, you always would
Carry the world on your shoulders, if you could
“You’re so pretty”, you would say
Warm hugs and “I love you’s” before you left for the day
Please bring him back, that’s what I pray
Stuck in a nightmare, set on replay
No more memories to make, left to the past
Watching videos of you, to see you laugh
Living by the rules, you made your path
He stole your future, won’t receive your wrath
Why did the universe take away someone so good?
In your short years, so much understood
Making others feel special, you always would
Carry the world on your shoulders, if you could
Close my eyes, just to see your face
Lives changed forever, emptiness we face
My love for you will never be replaced
How I long for just one more embrace
Tears keep streaming down my face
Stuck in a house with so much space
My love for you will never be replaced
How I long for just one more embrace
